Idaho AEYC Early Learning Academies

The Idaho Association for the Education of Young Children is offering a free webinar to promote literacy in young children. Normally, these classes are offered only to childcare providers for children ages 0-5, but under the current circumstances, they have opened up registration to parents, grandparents and other care takers to help them navigate the education of young children in their home. In this webinar, you will:

• Gain an understanding of the term “literacy” and the many aspects associated with it based on children’s developmental ages.
• Explore the concept of literacy-rich environments and ways to promote vocabulary development as well as pre-reading skills.
• Learn how to use early learning materials to promote literacy in ways that support positive adult-child interactions.
